Bringing Joy and Inclusion to Every Child: ASA’s Annual Inclusive Children’s Party
Too often, children with disabilities are denied the simple joys of childhood—laughter, play, music, and the magic of Christmas. At Abilities Sports Africa (ASA), we believe every child deserves to celebrate, to be seen, and to belong. That’s why, each year, we host a special Inclusive Children’s Christmas Party—a joyful event where children with and without disabilities come together to play, sing, dance, race, recite poems, share meals, and create unforgettable memories in a truly inclusive environment.
Since 2021, ASA has brought together more than 120 children with disabilities and their families for this heartwarming celebration. But it’s more than just a party—it’s an advocacy platform where we raise awareness about the rights of children with disabilities and promote their access to education by providing essential scholastic materials.
This annual event, held every 23rd of December, also serves as a charity fundraiser. Proceeds from the celebration go directly toward supporting children with disabilities in school—covering the cost of school supplies, uniforms, and other educational needs. For many of these children, the party is also their first opportunity to visit recreational spaces in the city—experiences often reserved for more privileged families.
Through this celebration, we not only raise funds but restore confidence, dignity, and hope in children who are too often left behind.
We invite you to be part of this beautiful journey—to support, sponsor, or spread the word. Together, we can ensure no child is left out of the joy of learning and the magic of Christmas.
